“Honestly, do you think that
since you have huge muscles that you can beat up anyone you see and win? the bigger they are, the harder they fall!!”
( Great, another person thinking they could take him, you’d think he’d be rich right about now due to other’s thinking the same way. He rolled his eyes just a bit and answered with a slight attitude. )
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, the last guy that thought that ended up face to the ground and arm pressed down against his back—y’know, pinneddown.”
“Dude, I don’ t mean to burst your bubble, but I believe you’re about two years behind with that shirt. I’ll give you a call when vertical stripes come back in style bro.”
( Wow, he must’ve been hanging around his niece WAY too long to even think of that in the first place. )
Forks, Washington. His mom moved him and Sarah up toward it because she had a job opportunity or something. It wasn’t like he cared about it, all his friends was left in Lima and he hated thinking about it. He groaned as he walked into the high school. He hated the weather, that was a completely understatement. “Dude, where can I find Biology?”
( His nose INSTANTLY went off, he could smell an UNFAMILIAR person approaching his presence, a male to be exact. It wasn’t everyday that the small town got new people, therefore he was used to all the SCENTS around him—therefore this one jumped at him in SURPRISE. Closing his locker and turning to now face the male, he swallowed gently and gave somewhat a smile. )
“New student, huh? Sure man, I have Bio first period as well, so you can just tag along with me. I’m Emmett by the way.”
“You sure ‘bout that, man? For all you know, I was tryin’ to figure out what kinda jeans you’re wearin’.”
“Oh please——-
That’s the oldest excuse in the book, dude. Just admit the fact that you were staring at my ass. Not trying to brag, but I’d even look at my ass if I could.”
“I don’t know why, but I have this sudden urge to just play with your hair.”
( Did he just say that out loud? That sounded like something that his niece would have said to this dude, gosh he needed to stop hanging around her so much. But he had to admit, the dude’s hair did catch his eye. )
“Uhm, you’re.. i’m… what the hell is going on here?”
( He was literally lost for words, why did the male in front of him look so much like himself. Literally the only difference seemed to be a slight height difference and a different shade of hair color and some facial hair. He didn’t know if he should just attack or give the male a chance to explain—that’s if he even knew himself what was going on here.. )
❝ Oh, c’mon. I thought they were pretty friggin’ good. Hell, I kinda wish my name was Jack right now. – ‘Cause I’d DEFINITELY say somethin’ along th’lines of ‘you got Jacked.’ ❞
There’s that SMUG GRIN that he had etched upon his features whenever he said something clever. Personally, Dean thought himself to be pretty damn funny, and Emmett’s reaction CONFIRMED that for him. Now, of course, the next logical thing to do would be to challenge him at his own game.
❝ I bet y’can’t top that. I’d like t’see you TRY, bud. ❞
"Just when I thought you couldn’t get any more corny, you go and prove me hella wrong. Great job, sir jokes-a-lot. A point for you.“
Of course, it was pretty obvious that he was answering in quite the sarcastic tone even though he was being playful. In some STRANGE way, he actually enjoyed the male’s corniness along with his ’somewhat’ horrible jokes that were so bad he had to give at least a small chuckle. One thing he had to admit, he liked how Dean didn’t hold back on anything he said—the fact that he would challenge you at the most awkward types of things, like a ’who can be more corny’ contest.
”————fine..“ "Why didn’t the toilet paper cross the road?” “….” “It got stuck in a crack."
( Even if he laughed or not, he found it funny and let out a laugh. )
( It hadn’t been UNUSUAL for people to become interested in him after all people did think he was INSANE. After all he did BREAK into houses and STEAL things, got into FIGHTS, accused of BUSTING someone car. Not to mention, that he was also RELATED to town’s biggest LIAR. He was almost like a CIRCUS attraction. Of course, Mike was going to give the male the BENEFIT of the DOUBT. Although he had to be CAREFUL not everyone is TRUSTWORTHY. Not everyone is who they are. Giving him a smile as he CONTINUED to EXPLAIN himself away. )
❛ Again, it TENDS to HAPPEN so don’t worry. No, that wasn’t weird, trust me when i say that i know what weird is. ❜
( Mike raised his eyebrow at the request but decided to help him nonetheless. Picking his own things up. )
❛ No, i wouldn’t mind. ❜
( From when he first walked into the new school, people were giving him looks of curiosity. He could honestly hear every single whisper that was being traded between the students. He paid them no mind as his attention stayed fully on the male right beside him. Of course, he knew how to make his way around the school due to the fact that earlier that same day, his grade level principal gave him a small tour of the school. Therefore, he knew where his home room was, he just wanted to stay near the male for as long as possible. He seemed to be the only one that didn’t care about who he was, where he came from, or why out of all places his family chose to move here—-Rosewood. That was a story that he would have to get to later, when the ‘younger’ male started getting curious and asked questions. )
“Thanks man, I owe you one. It would’ve took me forever to find my way around here..”
“——back home, my highschool wasn’t near this big..”
( Actually, it was—maybe even a bit larger but he was trying to play off the whole ’help me, i’m clueless’ act as best as he could. He gripped onto his text book a bit tighter and gave the male a light smile, assuring him that he was ready for his guidance. )
( Come on, the height and weight JOKES were getting a bit old. Though, for some odd reason—when Dean cracked a joke at him, he couldn’t help but give him that cheesy grin in return. )
“I swear, I’ve never met someone as CORNY as yourself and believe me… I’m pretty damn corny, so that alone should tell you something.”
